Team Vitality has set a new record in the list of the highest prize-money earners in Counter-Strike 2 (CS2) history. By defeating MOUZ 3-0 in the ESL Pro League Season 24 grand final, the French organisation not only won the championship but also climbed to the top of the all-time prize-money ranking. NAVI previously held the number one spot. Vitality's recent success demonstrates both the strength of European esports and the fact that prize-money rankings are a moving, time-sensitive indicator.
In the ESL Pro League Season 24 grand final, Team Vitality defeated MOUZ 3-0. The first map was Dust2, where MOUZ pushed Vitality to overtime. Vitality won the map 16-12. On the second map, Cache, Vitality won 13-8. On the third map, Inferno, Vitality won 13-7 to secure the series. A clean 3-0 sweep in a best-of-five final testifies to the dominant team's superiority, although the Dust2 overtime showed MOUZ's fighting spirit.
With this victory, Vitality became the first organisation in ESL Pro League history to win more than three titles. Their total EPL titles now stand at four. Previously, NAVI, MOUZ, Astralis and Fnatic each had three titles. Vitality's dominance in recent EPL seasons is even clearer: they have won three of the last four seasons. NAVI won Season 23, held last March. This pattern proves that EPL is a regular, high-frequency competition where prize-money totals can change rapidly.
Vitality's star player, Mathieu 'ZywOo' Herbaut, delivered an outstanding performance in the final. He was selected as the event MVP. This is the 34th MVP recognition of his career. His rating in the final was 1.65, exceptional for a high-pressure match like a grand final. This performance proves that ZywOo remains one of CS2's best individual performers.
Another experienced Vitality player, Robin 'ropz' Kool, has written his name even deeper into EPL history. He won a record sixth ESL Pro League title. Remarkably, he has won these six titles with three different organisations—MOUZ, FaZe and Vitality. This rare achievement proves his exceptional individual adaptability.
In the prize-money ranking, Vitality now sits at the top. According to recent figures, Vitality's total prize money is $13,886,593. Second-placed NAVI's total prize money is $13,682,460. That means Vitality leads NAVI by just $204,133. Before the final, Vitality was about $91,000 behind NAVI. By winning the Season 24 title, they made up that deficit and rose to the top. This fluctuation proves how narrow the prize-money gap is and how the outcome of every major event can change the top of the ranking.
These prize-money figures are mainly sourced from Liquipedia. Liquipedia is a community-maintained database, updated at specific times. According to published information, these figures are dated October 12, 2026. Since the prize-money ranking is a cumulative indicator, it is not a direct measure of current strength. A team's operating financial health depends mainly on sponsorship revenue, not prize money.
Vitality's next challenge is PGL Bucharest. The outcome of this event could again change the prize-money ranking. According to the Valve Regional Standings (VRS), a recent projection placed Vitality first and MOUZ second. Valve's official rankings are updated monthly.
The dominance of European teams in CS2's elite circuit is also reflected in this ranking. Vitality, NAVI, MOUZ, Astralis and Fnatic are all European organisations. As a result, this prize-money list is effectively a reflection of European competitive history. A long-term rivalry between Vitality and NAVI persists at the top of the ranking.
